2nd Samuel 11-12 (This is the story of David and Bathsheba), Psalm 51
God can give us clean hearts.
Talk About This:
What does sin do to our hearts? What did God do about our sin problem?
Who lived a perfect life?
What does it mean to repent from our sin?
Grab a plastic cup, and a ping pong ball, and set up the cup somewhere and let your kid(s) try to bounce the ping pong ball into the cup. They may not make it on the first try and if they don't, let them try again until they miss. Explain to your kids that we all miss the mark sometimes. None of us can live a perfect life. Use this time to talk about how Jesus lived a perfect life and died as a perfect sacrifice for us on the cross, and rose again, defeating death. We can’t live a perfect life, and we are going to miss the mark sometimes. But we have a Savior who loves us that DID live a perfect life, and we can trust in Him.
Memory Verse: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name.” Psalm 103:1
