Frequently Asked Questions

What should my child wear?

Children should dress comfortably for Adventure Week.  Shorts, t-shirts, and tennis shoes are the norm. Your child will be active during the week

Do I need to purchase a t-shirt and Worship CD for my child?

T-shirts and CD’s are optional.  We try to keep the cost low so all children can get them.  These are the only items we charge for during Adventure Week.

Will my child get a snack?

Yes, each day your child will receive a different snack.  Parents will be notified of the snack schedule prior to Adventure Week.  If your child has food allergies or food preferences, parents may provide an individualized snack for their child.

What activities will my child be doing?

Your child will rotate through different environments and experiences during Adventure Week: worship, Bible teaching, small group discussion time, crafts, music, missions, recreation, and snack.

What will my 5th and 6th graders do during Adventure Week?

During Adventure Week Extreme, 5th and 6th graders will have a combined experience.  Students will have Bible teaching and worship with the rest of Adventure Weekers, and they will spend 2 hours per day with our Student Ministry Team!

Can my child who is younger than 3 attend Adventure Week?

Babies through age 2 can attend and participate in Adventure Week IF a parent volunteers throughout Adventure Week.  We have many serving opportunities, and we would love to have parents participate!

Can my student (7th through 12th grade) volunteer during Adventure Week?

Students 7th grade and above can serve during Adventure Week.  Students can select the area of preference during the online registration process.  Please realize that the positions MUST be approved by the Kids’ Ministry Team, and in some cases, your student may be reassigned to another area of service during Adventure Week.

What is family night?

Family Night is an experience for the entire family!  Family Night takes place on the last night of Adventure Week and engages the whole family in worship and fun!
